Legislation on data
What legislation applies to data (excluding personal data)?
There is no specific legislation for data other than personal data. Data as a concept is not regulated and is often not protected by an intellectual property right such as copyright. For this reason, parties will have to make proper agreements that they can fall back on. Think about agreements on: who gets access to which data? For how long? Who can supplement/amend the data? It is important that parties think about this and lay it down in an agreement.
