Demystifying the Draft EU Artificial Intelligence Act

Since the European Commission's proposal for the new Artificial Intelligence regulation, several academic papers have been written that attempt to comment or explain the regulation. This paper gives an overview of the regulation and analyses its implications and effects. The authors comment on the expected impact of the regulation and highlight potentially unforeseen implications of the regulation and risks that are not well covered.
